2010 T.O.U.C.H. Picnic: Part I

Congenital Heart Defects

The Organization for Understanding Childrens’ Hearts (T.O.U.C.H.)  http://www.touchhearts.org/ holds a picnic each year for families of children (and adults) who were born with congenital heart defects.  TOUCH (see above website) offers support, education, and understanding to patients and relatives of this devastating condition.  My wife and I attend because we have a grandson who was born with half of a heart, HLHS, or hypoplastic left heart syndrome.   I thought that I would throw a few pictures onto my blog today.
About 700 people were in attendance.
Two for one; Make-A-Wish and OSF St. Francis’ mobile van.
Face painting was very popular.
Build-your-own tractor from candy was also a winner.
